S45C Steel Grade is one steel grade material in JIS G4051. which is standard specification of carbon steels for machine structural use. Specifically, this is standard for heat treatable steels, alloy steels and free cutting steels. JIS S45C Steel is a medium strength steel. Suitable for shafts studs, keys etc. Available as rolled or normalised. JIS S45C machinery steel are usually supplied as square bar, or round bar or flat. Chrome-plated bearing rods are rods that are electroplated with a layer of chromium with a hardness of 50-60HRC on the surface of a hard shaft. This treatment makes the chrome-plated rod have excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance and heat resistance, and is particularly suitable for use in the automation industry and linear bearings. Chrome-plated rods usually use 45# steel as the base material. After proper heat treatment, a layer of hard chrome is plated on the surface and then polished. This treatment can not only improve the mechanical properties of the material, but also delay the generation or expansion of fatigue cracks and improve the fatigue strength of the cylinder or cylinder rod.
