Alloy 20 is a nickel-iron-chromium based, austenitic alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in chemical environments containing sulfuric acid and many other aggressive media. This alloy is stabilized with niobium to resist intergranular corrosion. Alloy 20 may provide potential cost savings when carefully compared to higher nickel-based alloys, while out performing standard stainless steels. Socket welding flange refers to the pipe end inserted into the flange ring ladder, welded in the pipe end and the outer flange. There are two types with and without a neck. The rigidity of the flange with the neck tube is good, the welding deformation is small, the sealing is good, and can be used for the pressure of 1.0~10.0MPa. The Type B flange for the container is also a socket welding flange, which is used for occasions with high sealing requirements. During the design, the socket welding flange can be checked according to the integral flange.
