Alloy X has excellent resistance to reducing and carburizing atmospheres, making it suitable for furnace components. Due to its high molybdenum content, Alloy X may be subject to catastrophic oxidation at 1204°C. The alloy has good high temperature strength coupled with oxidation resistance up to 1093°C. This Alloy is readily weldable using matching filler wires. After severe forming, fabrications may be annealed at 1177°C, 15 minutes per 1/8″ of thickness, rapid air cool. Socket welding flange refers to the pipe end inserted into the flange ring ladder, welded in the pipe end and the outer flange. There are two types with and without a neck. The rigidity of the flange with the neck tube is good, the welding deformation is small, the sealing is good, and can be used for the pressure of 1.0~10.0MPa. The Type B flange for the container is also a socket welding flange, which is used for occasions with high sealing requirements. During the design, the socket welding flange can be checked according to the integral flange.
