Product Description

Grade 316/316L is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. The higher nickel and molybdenum content in this grade allows it to demonstrate better overall corrosion resistant properties than 304, especially with regard to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. In addition, Alloy 316/ 316L provides excellent elevated temperature tensile, creep and stress-rupture strengths, as well as outstanding formability and weldability. 316L is the lower carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitization; therefore, it is very frequently used in heavy gauge welded components.

The pipe cap is a component used to seal the end of a container to isolate the internal and external media, also known as the end cover. The end cap of a cylindrical container is generally a rotating shell. The pipe cap is a component of the container and is connected to the cylinder by welding. According to different geometric shapes, it can be divided into spherical, elliptical, dish-shaped, spherical crown, cone shell and flat cover. In terms of welding, it can be divided into butt welding end caps and socket welding end caps. It is used in various container equipment, such as storage tanks, heat exchangers, towers, reactors, boilers and separation equipment. The materials include carbon steel (A3, 20#, Q235, Q345B, 16Mn, etc.), stainless steel (304, 321, 304L, 316, 316L, etc.), alloy steel (15Mo3 15CrMoV 35CrMoV45CrMo), aluminum, titanium, copper, nickel and nickel alloys.
